You'll own the design vision for Issa's core products on web and mobile. Work directly with founders, engineering, and business. Turn analog immigration workflows into something people can actually finish.
What you'll own
- Design vision across mobile and web
- High-stakes journeys: onboarding, documents, payments, dashboards
- Clear product strategy from messy user and business problems
- Rapid prototyping, testing, and iteration
- The design system and the quality bar
- Mentoring junior designers, interns, and contractors

We build the systems behind immigration, payments, and identity. You'll ship production software thousands of people use every week, set technical direction, and raise how we build.
What you'll own
- End-to-end features across backend, frontend, and infrastructure
- Architecture for core products
- Turning complex requirements into reliable systems with product and design
- Speed without dropping quality, security, or performance
- Reviews, mentorship, and a higher engineering bar
- Support for junior engineers, interns, and new grads
Who we're looking for
- Strong fundamentals and excellent technical judgment
- Systems and architectures, not just features

- Speed with long-term maintainability
- Mentoring the whole engineering team

We hold passports, financial records, immigration history, and biometric documents for people trying to build a new life. That is a trust problem, and trust is the product. You'll secure how we store, move, and process that data as we scale.
What you'll own
- How applicant data is stored, sent, and accessed
- Access controls, audit logging, and monitoring: who touched what, when, and why
- AI tools (Claude, Cursor) as the default way to review code and draft detection
- Secure-by-default patterns with engineering, not bolted on later
- PDPA implementation in the stack, not just documentation
- Incident response readiness: the plan, the drills, and a calm head
Who we're looking for
- Daily fluency with AI tools, used to think faster, not as a novelty
- Security fundamentals (auth, encryption, common attacks, secure design). Coursework, CTFs, personal projects, or self-study is enough. Professional experience is not required.
- Taking privacy personally. A leaked document is someone's visa, work, or family.
- Willingness to say we need to fix this first, and back it up
- Outsized responsibility over a comfortable ramp-up
