Yes. Thailand Elite is the former name. The operator is Thailand Privilege Card Co., Ltd., a state enterprise wholly owned by the Tourism Authority of Thailand. Current packages are sold as Thailand Privilege. Legacy Elite contracts follow their original terms.
No! You do not need proof of savings or proof of income. The Privilege Entry visa has no bank-balance or pension requirement. TPC still runs a background check.
No. The Privilege Entry visa is a tourist-class visa. It does not allow you to apply for a work permit. If you need to work for a Thai company, look at Non-B, SMART S, or an LTR category that permits work.
Not as a simple conversion. Existing Non-Immigrant visas usually must be cancelled before the PE visa is affixed. Non-ED holders, and medical visa holders without hospital documentation, cannot switch to Privilege. Book affixation before you cancel, or use the 7-day stay-extension window. Issa Compass maps the sequence for your current stamp.
TPC's background check is separate from Issa's document review. Standard processing is about 4 weeks. Nationalities TPC flags for special consideration are closer to 12 weeks. Issa cannot promise a fixed date.
