Co-founder and CEO Priscilla Shares the Reality of Fundraising at TICC's Startup Seminar
Generali Thailand Town Hall, Park Silom, Bangkok·27 Oct 2026
Fundraising took center stage at "From Startup Foundations to Raising Capital," where Priscilla Yeung, Co-founder and CEO, spoke on 27 October 2026. The seminar was hosted by the Thai-Italian Chamber of Commerce (TICC) together with Issa Compass and Monx at Generali Thailand's Town Hall in Park Silom, Bangkok. The afternoon brought founders, investors and business leaders together to talk through building, structuring and funding a startup from Thailand.
In her talk, "The Reality of Fundraising," Priscilla drew on Issa Compass's own fundraising journey to make the case that choosing the right investors matters as much as the capital itself. She described the investors worth looking for. They share a founder's values. They bring real insight into building and scaling across APAC. They open doors through introductions. And they know when to offer advice and when to step back and let a team build and learn.
Priscilla was honored to join Stefano Passarello, Co-founder and CVO of Monx; Giorgia Pellizzari, Chief Product Officer and Head of Custody at Hex Trust; Issaree Rujiralawan, Senior Investment Associate at A2D Ventures; and Paul Ark, Advisor at The Radical Fund, for a wide-ranging panel. The speakers covered how the Southeast Asian startup and fundraising landscape has evolved through the cycles, and the realities of building in the region and in Thailand. They shared what they are bullish and bearish on as investors and operators, and how negotiation styles differ between the US and Southeast Asia. They also debated whether a correction in US AI valuations is coming. A common thread ran through the discussion. Fundraising across Southeast Asia has been subdued, but there are reasons for cautious optimism, and the companies that make it through this fundraising winter are likely to emerge more resilient.
Issa Compass extends its warm thanks to TICC and Secretary-General Giacomo Iobizzi for organizing the afternoon, to Monx and X-nom for co-hosting, to Generali Thailand for opening its Town Hall, and to fellow speakers and everyone who stayed on to continue the conversation.
