Most visitors to Cambodia apply for the Tourist eVisa (Type T) on the government portal, evisa.gov.kh. It costs US$30, is issued in about 3 business days, and allows a 30-day single-entry stay[1]. Separately, every traveller, visa holders included, completes the free Cambodia e-Arrival form before arriving. Nationals of nine ASEAN countries do not need the tourist visa at all.
Do you need a visa for Cambodia?
Per the Cambodia eVisa portal, nationals of Laos, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, Brunei and Myanmar do not need a Tourist eVisa (Type T). Most other nationalities can apply for one online.

Step by step
- Check whether you are exempt. If your passport is from one of the nine ASEAN countries above, you do not need a tourist visa.
- Check your route. As listed on the eVisa portal on 16 October 2026, the eVisa is accepted at Techo International (Phnom Penh), Siem Reap Angkor International and Sihanoukville International airports, at Bavet from Vietnam and at Tropaeng Kreal from Laos. Poipet and Cham Yeam, the land crossings from Thailand, are temporarily closed for eVisa entry. Coming from Thailand, plan to fly in.
- Prepare two files. A clear scan of your passport biodata page and a separate recent passport-style photo (JPG or PNG, under 2 MB). A photo cropped from the passport scan is often rejected for quality, so send a separate one.
- Apply and pay on evisa.gov.kh. Pick your planned arrival date. Flight and hotel uploads are optional.
- Complete the e-Arrival card. Every traveller completes the free Cambodia e-Arrival form, ideally within 7 days before arrival, whether or not they hold a visa.
- Enter within three months and stay up to 30 days[1]. You can leave through any international border post.
Can you stay longer than 30 days?
A tourist visa can be extended once, by another 30 days, at a Cambodian immigration office after you arrive[1]. If you plan to stay longer or are travelling for business, the Type E business visa is the better fit.
