Documents & Financial Requirements
Embassies generally require proof of at least 500,000 THB (roughly $14,000–15,000 USD) in a personal bank account. Requirements can vary slightly by embassy.
You can still qualify. The focus is on demonstrating the required balance and showing a pattern of income from foreign clients — bank statements, invoices, or contracts over a recent period all help. Our Visa Intelligence document review can identify what your specific situation needs.
A valid passport (with sufficient remaining validity), proof of funds (bank statement or letter), proof of remote employment or freelance work (employment letter on company letterhead, contracts, or invoices), a passport-style photo, and a completed application form. Exact requirements depend on your visa category and embassy.
It should be on official company letterhead and state that you work remotely and will continue to do so while in Thailand — including your role, employment status, and that the company is based outside Thailand.
The most common rejection trigger is funds that can't be verified as the applicant's own, or that don't match other paperwork. Inconsistencies between your application form and supporting documents — even small mismatches in dates or names — can flag your application.
Upload your documents through your dashboard and our Visa Intelligence checks them against the requirements for your visa type — flagging missing items, inconsistencies, or anything likely to raise questions before you submit to the embassy.
